It's just a big list of saiyuki fans who like yaoi/shonen-ai. There's people introducing themselves in the big list of intros in the next post (or the one right after, one of those) or you can just browse the friendslist to find interesting people. I think generally fans are very cool people but there didn't seem to be a centralized meeting place, so this is one =)

If you want I can add [info]dreaming_faerie? I started this out badly and caused some people to be creeped out and wary when I friended them using this journal, so I want to double-check...

Ah, yes. I usually friend people who add me back. I don't get why you'd seem creepy...then again, I've been told a bunch of weird shit by guys so something like this is the fartherest from creepy that I've ever seen. ^.^;

And please, over two pages of comments on intros and you count that badly? I think that's pretty damn good...and having no ljdrama makes it even better.

::winces:: okay, to be perfectly honest here, because better stuff aired than assumptions made:

I'd assumed that people wouldn't mind being listed on a big list of saiyuki fans who like yaoi (I just friended everyone on the disparate communities), and because I treat my LJ like an easy to update website it didn't occur to me that people found being friended as intrusive. From the corner of LJ fandom that I'm from, people treat friendslists as a reading list of fannish posts and think pretty much nothing of being randomly friended. Apparently some people thought I was some stalker or maybe someone with bad intentions trying to get people-who-like-yaoi's information for unfriendly purposes or something...I'm not entirely clear on this and upon thought it's understandable.

In short, they thought this journal suspicious and some of the stuff is detailed in the comments of the first couple of quotes. I'm not going to try and delete them because that feels like hiding the mess and I'm still kicking myself for forgetting that people don't always view LJs the same way I do. Ah well; you live, you learn, ne?

So there's been a bit of ljdrama, but none amoung the introduction comments in the intro post =) I'm glad to see that people are being so friendly there...

annnnnnyhoo, that's pretty much everything that's happened of vaguely ljdrama-ish, if you still want to be friended I'd be totally estatic, but I just wanted to lay it all out on the table so you don't go into this with assumptions. ::wry grin::

Don't know if you're still checking this journal, but [info]1000_miles_west is a new Saiyuki comm which definately has "members who list yaoi/shonen ai as interest".
